Redmi Buds Bar has no accounts, analytics, advertising, or audio recording.

Bluetooth

The app communicates locally with your paired REDMI Buds 8 Pro to read battery levels, change earbud settings, and install firmware when requested. It does not upload Bluetooth data.

Earbud firmware

Firmware checks and downloads contact Xiaomi’s official service and CDN. No Xiaomi account is needed. Installation starts only when you choose Update earbuds.

Automatic updates

Sparkle checks the update feed at buds.robin.build and downloads signed releases from GitHub. Those services receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address. You can disable automatic updates in the app’s settings.

Local diagnostics

A diagnostic log on your Mac contains protocol packets and connection status, never audio. It resets when the app starts and is capped at approximately 256 KB. You choose whether to share it when reporting a problem.

This website

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. It sets no analytics cookies and loads its fonts locally. Cloudflare processes ordinary request information to serve and protect the site.
